Courses

Each class meets for three hours or less on weekdays or weekends during the morning, afternoon, and evening.

Changes to bookings by the student
Students may change reservation details or postpone their start date at IALC group’s discretion, provided that IALC group receives written notification from the student a minimum of thirty days before the course begins. When a student is scheduled to move into their course, it is not possible to amend or postpone the course. Amendments and postponements are subject to a $200 / €200 / £200 fee. The IALC group has the right, at its sole discretion, to withdraw this charge if a course is extended or upgraded as a result of the change or postponement.

Other changes to bookings

I.A.L.C. group strives to ensure that all students receive the service they book. We cannot, however, be held liable for the disruption of check holidays due to events outside of our control (such as earthquakes, different natural disasters, war-torn countries, etc. ), the shortcomings of the student, or the actions of third parties (I.A.L.C. group is not responsible for changes to bookings due to changes in transport, tuition, accommodation, insurance, or other matters caused by third parties). Lessons lost due to the above reasons cannot be reclaimed or refunded.

Liability

The students in Albanian Language Abroad program waive any liability against the I.A.L.C. group for any injury, loss, damage, accident, expense or delay caused by or associated with lodging or transportation. The student understands that he/she travels at his/her own risk and I.A.L.C. group holds no responsibility for health and safety issues.

Travel insurance

We require that students and members of their party have appropriate and sufficient travel insurance in order to cover their journey. If you are not adequately insured, either the IALC group or our suppliers will not be responsible for any liability, expenses, or losses you incur. We strongly suggest that travel insurance be purchased at the time of booking. There is no obligation on the part of IALC group to provide medical assistance to students during the tour. The IALC group will make all possible efforts within a medical emergency to contact medical emergency services; however, all medical costs will be at the student’s expense.

Cancellation by the student

In the event that this agreement is cancelled by a student, the following provisions will apply:
The cancellation must be made in writing to the I.A.L.C. group. The day that the IALC group e-mail box receives the notification of cancellation is the official cancellation day, and the cancellation provisions outlined below will also apply.

  • Cancellation between 30 and 40 days before the start of the course: 100% of the remaining fee.
  • Cancellation between 15 and 30 days before the course begins: 20% of the remaining course fee.
  • Cancellation between 0 and 15 days before the start of the course: 10% of the remaining fee.
  • There will be no refunds after the day of departure or the start of the course.

If a new booking is made in place of the cancelled course, IALC Group may, at their sole discretion, withdraw certain cancellation charges.

Travel and Transfers

Our prices do not include flights or other transportation on excursions or accommodation. Students should make their own travel arrangements and obtain all the necessary travel documents, such as a valid passport and a visa. We are happy to provide students with detailed recommendations on how to get to our location, as well as to have an on-site teacher to greet students as they arrive. We should receive full flight details at least three days before students are scheduled to arrive in Republic of Albania.

Complaints

IALC should be notified as soon as possible if students believe they have legitimate complaints. All complaints will be responded to by IALC Group, and we will do our best to resolve all issues. The IALC group will not be able to respond to complaints created after the student has finished his or her course, unless the IALC group was notified while the student was still enrolled and IALC group was given reasonable time to respond while the student was enrolled.

Our expectations

Students and attendant students are expected to behave in a courteous manner and respect their fellow students and employees. The illegal use of drugs, alcohol abuse, and inconsiderate behavior are unacceptable. The IALC group reserves the right to withhold courses from any student who violates course laws or behaving in an offensive manner. IALC Group reserves the right to exclude from our program any participant violating these terms, without refund or escort. It is the responsibility of the participant or their family to pay for the return trip.
